The Cultural Resource Management Toolbox teaches the skills of a Site Officer.

What is the Need for this Toolbox?
There is a great need for Aboriginal professionals with skills in Cultural management in jobs such as: site officers employed by Indigenous non-government and government organisations; Cross cultural and cultural heritage education; Land management; Public education; Cultural heritage regulation; Cultural tourism; Cultural arts and crafts; Commercial cultural heritage management consulting; Commercial cultural heritage training. There is also a need among the general Aboriginal population to understand cultural heritage.

What You Will Learn Here
When you finish this Toolbox you will be able to:

Predict Where to Find a Site of Cultural Significance
After going through this program carefully you will more clearly understand what types of country would most likely have been a traditional site. You will be able to look around your country and make a good guess at what kind of sites might have been where.
Identify a Site of Cultural Significance and Report on Each Important Item in that Site
You will be able to identify what kind of site you have located, learn how to find the important things in the site and know how to report on everything in the site.
Make Plans to Protect a Site of Cultural Significance
You will learn the steps you need to take to report the site to the proper organisations and learn to draw up plans for protecting and preserving the site.
